We made it through check in, security and I handed them off to the capable hands of the Alaska Airlines. And of course after that roller coaster I enjoyed a much deserved beer and tried to watch the packer game. However, it was then that I met the first person from my new city of Fairbanks… and of course he was three sheets to the wind and wouldn’t stop talking to me! He told me I was beautiful, offered me some chew (Toto we aren’t in Southern California anymore!!), and basically said that he would have babies with me… Thanks for the amazing offer, but I think I will pass.
Of course this is the one flight I can’t sleep on!!!! And it is 6 and half hours from Chicago to Anchorage!!! I’ve finished my book that I was reading, okay well finished it except for 5 pages because I started crying at the end, and lets face it I can’t be sitting on a full plane crying like a baby! So I thought I would start writing this blog thing.. . and well, one thing I found out, I am not much of a writer. So pardon the grammar, spelling, punctuation, the brutal honesty, and of course the cuss words! This will definitely be a work in progress.
Alright, I think I might try to get some sleep… I have a grueling arrival ahead of me… renting a car, getting two gigantic dog crates, two crazy dogs, and well 4 suitcases all packed up and then finding my hotel for the night!!! Sounds like fun doesn’t it?? Did I mention that I will be taking the crates apart so that they will fit in the rental care (OUTSIDE?? ) Remember -30 degrees! So not happy! Again what was I thinking???
Night!
